Expecting twins in spring/summer 2021

Hi all, I'm expecting twins in mid-June (planned c-section) and wonder if anyone else is around the same time?

I'm 34 weeks today and due to deliver at 37 weeks, unless a reason arises to deliver earlier.

Based on how I feel today, I can't quite imagine surviving another 3 weeks of pregnancy! I'm MEGA tired and have now started with chest pain/pressure - think it's because my insides are so crushed Confused

Really pleased that they seem healthy so far and are growing well. Just wish I felt a bit stronger! I've been pretty active up until now.

I'm so scared of becoming totally helpless, or spontaneous labour!

I had my boys 3 weeks ago at 37+3 so I’m further on than you, but just wanted to say that those last few weeks of twin pregnancy are tough!

Don’t feel guilty about taking it easy, you’ll need your strength for the labour, birth and recovery - a twin pregnancy is a different league to a singleton.

All the best with the birth and please update us when you’ve had the babies.

@TheMagicDeckchair Thank you! I actually replied to one of your threads earlier - massive congrats again Smile

If all goes to plan I'm having a c-section at 37w, so no labour this time... but I fully expect the rest to be very hard work!

Just hope I reach the date with no complications... 🤞

Hi I'm 32 weeks pregnant with twins, due the 23rd of July but we've had a few complications the past few weeks and I think we might be meeting them in June at some stage, hoping to bake them for a few more weeks, but getting excited now that I might be meeting them soon. Hope your feeling good

I had my twins two weeks ago, by a planned C-section at 37+4. I felt so uncomfortable by the end, I really sympathise with you! I would have liked a bit more time to mentally prepare for the birth, we were only given the date a week before it took place, but my body had well and truly had enough by that point and any extra time would have been very difficult for me to cope with physically. Don't push yourself to be active if you can't manage it, try to rest as much as possible.

Update! Our twins are now nearly 5 weeks old! My c-section was brought forward to 36+3. They were healthy and we were home just over 48 hours later.

Hope everyone else is doing well. x
