16% growth difference

Hey , I'm having twins and obviously have appointments 1-2 week apart roo monitor for TTTS. At my 16+6 scan they measured 16% difference and they stated this is early for there too be a big difference so will monitor too check for TTTS weekly. They also stated they could see both bladders etc and they are also sharing the same sac with no membranes. Has anyone had this? I no the TTts measurements is usually 20-25% but they really worried me

My MCDA twins had a growth discrepancy the whole way through my pregnancy but I never developed TTTS. I was scanned every 1-2 weeks and by 24 weeks the discrepancy was up to 26% (at this point my scans were moved to weekly) but still I had no other markers for TTTS and little twin was still growing each week, just not at the same rate as her sister. My consultant scheduled my C sec for 34 weeks due to the discrepancy. However at my final scan before they arrived it was down to 10% difference. They are now 6 weeks old and there is a noticeable size difference but it’s not huge and I imagine in a few months time little twin will have caught up.

So try not to stress about the discrepancy too much, as long as the blood flow is still good and your dr says there are no other markers then it doesn’t mean its always going to turn into TTTS. Good luck and any other questions let me know xx

Thankyou so much for the story and good news. I had a scan the week before and the baby was measuring smaller but as was private scan I didnt take it seriously. When we went onto the scan at hospital it shown the baby had grown a week in 5 days but obv still small so I'm not sure what happened there. I'm thinking maybe it grew fine just lower than baby brother. They don't have any other indicators but want me see another dr next week and herself again too make sure no other signs which I'm
