Mono Mono Twins- help

Hi all,

Hoping anyone can help me calm down.

I had an early scan at 7.6 weeks. We found out we were having twins (so exciting) but that they were sharing both a sac and placenta and it’s classified as high risk.
They are quite close together but not conjoined. I’m so nervous after reading online about Mono Mono twins and the low % of live births.
I’ve booked another scan for this week, which may still be too early but I’m so scared and don’t know what to do.
I’ve not even met my midwife yet, so slightly freaking out about where to go or what to do now. I’m based in Essex and am looking at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
If anyone has any advice, that would be great.
Thanks

Hi - just come across your post and wondered how you are getting on? I have 18 month old ID girls who are MoDi and I had them at Princess Alexandra Hospital (absolutely fantastic hospital) and we were under the close care of Mr Wee who specialises in multiple pregnancies. We were diagnosed with stage 2 TTTS which was corrected with laser surgery at 16 weeks. Happy to chat if you would like x
