has anyone out there had problems with their twin babies taking ages to finish a bottle???? what did you do to solve the problem??

my almost three month olds take up to an hour and a half each and refuse to be tandem fed. i'm going out of my mind.

i don't think its my technique as i am an experienced tandem feeder, this is my second set of twins.

i'd love some suggestions!

thanks all

Just ride it out. My triplets went through a similar phase. Pain in the arse, isn't it?

Mine took forever when they were breastfeeding but were okay at the bottle. Could you give them less milk each time but feed them more often? Surely it would be better if you have to wait for so long anyway...

Is it that you have to constantly stop and burp them or do they just mess around with it?

Can't solve your problem - only sympathise. I remember times when they'd finish one of the three-hourly feeds in time to start the new one...

i have one year old twins and my girl always took 2 hours to finish a bottle - and still does! Be patient build it into your everyday routine as she had colic and feeding was always a nightmare so we learnt to live with it. we let her play in between taking the bottle and she lets us know when she is ready for her next go...

you can't force them they are individuals and obviously need that time. Cranial Osteopathy can help?? (smile)
