Hi Mommalove,
After saying lights out early I cant sleep! So envy that darling smell of new born babies, my favourite stage. I remember when my three came out of hospital I would just keep going into their room and bending right over them to smell them and staring in wonder at them, couldnt believe that they were mine! Even though they are almost 10, I still like now will check them in their beds and can`t resist kissing them in their sleep, wondering why I was so cross with them when they look so angelic and yummy!

FG.... you are a wonderful woman.

Now where are the rest of you. Stop hiding and post at once... well okay maybe not now.

Harrogatemum · 09/09/2007 08:44

I'm here! Just busy!

inamuckingfuddle · 09/09/2007 08:48

morning HM me too, here but busy! My parents are staying for a few days and I've had a madly hectic week at work - but survived

MarcellusLadinium · 09/09/2007 10:33

Stop being busy HM. What can be more important than posting here?

MarcellusLadinium · 09/09/2007 10:34

And as for you IAMF........

frumpygrumpy · 09/09/2007 14:05

Dingdong! HM! I'll make you cook the fry up if you stay away too long!!

Triplets, hope you got some sleep.

Momma, I'm glad you are having a great time. I adored these early days with my DTs and when I took a blip of feeling like I wasn't coping, around 6/7 months, it was remembering these early days that helped. You must allow yourself to feel proud, it is a big achievement. Nevertheless, sleep every moment you can.

I had something I wanted to ask on here and I'm dammed if I can remember........

frumpygrumpy · 09/09/2007 14:07

By the way Mars, spill the name stuff......I haven't changed my name since Christmas I said the C word

frumpygrumpy · 09/09/2007 14:37

Oh, I got it.....I guess I'd be along the lines of Frumpus Grumpoopius

I'm retiring offline for the rest of the afternoon I think. As one who tends to fall on the hippie love and peace loving leg hair braiding side of life, I can't stand the antagonism of certain threads.

Mars · 09/09/2007 16:15

Missing you already FG!

Harrogatemum · 09/09/2007 16:22

had friends here for the weekend so been offline as it were! And now got the week looming with DH away on Tuesday night and then on SAturday we are all off to the South of France for a week so got to organise all that - packing etc etc.

I dont get the Frumpus Grumpoopius and Marcellus Ladinium - are they supposed to be your old Latin names....?? If so I guess mine would have to be Mater Harrogatus or something!!!

Mars · 09/09/2007 16:29

There was a thread asking what our MN names would be in Latin HM.

South of France.... I can be ready in an hour!

tkband3 · 09/09/2007 19:29

Hello all

I've been away for a few days, busy getting doing last minute stuff for DD1. I can't believe she starts school tomorrow. Half of me is and the other half is excited for her. She's excited but also quite apprehensive I think. She doesn't like her uniform (nor do I for that matter - jade green polo shirt with royal blue sweatshirt/fleece and grey pinafore/skirt anyone ) so I've bought her lots of lovely disney princess knickers and vests to make it easier to bear. OH is now off work till he starts his new job in October, so will be joining us for the first drop off in the morning. Fortunately I then have gym class with the DTs so won't brood about her all morning - she's only there till 12 for now anyway.

Mommalove your babies are just beautiful and I adore the names. Those early days are so special - I'm so glad you're enjoying them. I had some friends over today with their 3 week old DD who is also gorgeous and had a little squeeze and sniff with her (just to satisfy any slight broodiness I might feel ).

Triplets, I hope you got some sleep and that this week goes a bit better for you.

Wishing I was off to South of France soon too HM - any room? .

Good evening all,
Had a much better day today. Took the plunge and had my Mum round for Sunday lunch, thought to be honest the weather was going to be awful, so instead of planning to go out, eat roast at 2pm giving me the evening off!Got tough with the trio, laid down new rules as from today, all have to be into bed by 8pm, read to me until 8.30pm and then lights out, cant believe it, its just gone 9pm and all is quiet! Not much on the box so I can indulge myself on here, with my lovely friends! As the C word has been mentioned I need early inspiration for 3x9/10yr olds, havent got a clue this year! Hope you have all had a lovely w/end, oh, are any of you going to the C meet up, still wondering if I can possibly get there?

Mommalove,
you must be soooooooooooooo organized to find any time to talk to us! I have to confess to a little twinge of envy thinking of you feeding your adorable babes! Harry`s niece in Hertfordshire is expecting ivf twins in late Oct, soooo wish I was nearer for a cuddle. Hope you get some sleep, xxx

chopster · 10/09/2007 09:15

South of france is gorgeous. Make sure you go to the jardin exotique in Monaco, it is amazing! here

Just one more day til the boys go back to school! I can't wait. I'm bored of legoland atm, can't be bothered to go swimming, they saw animals at the safari park on sat, so I really don't know what to do with them today. ATM they are engrossed in lazytown, but it won't last.

Actually the safari park was hilarious, the lions were errr, doing what animals do! The kids were asking all sorts of questions.

Anyone got any tips for me with dt2? - he will NOT eat nicely. I am gettign really fed up with picking up cereal off the floor every morning, or cleaning up mashed up sarnies. He is lazy and would rather be fed, otherwise he can't be bothered so mashes it or lobs it across the floor.

I'm having fun with ds1 atm too, he has picked up loads of phrases from school which he is repeating over and over and is blanking us out a lot again. Just when I was wondering if he actually needed to see the paed next month!

chopster · 10/09/2007 09:16

trips, I am still thinking about it, but we may have some rather expensive plans for xmas, so I have to jsut confirm it with dp, who isn't answering his phone atm. Mars is going.

Have you seen the menu - looks great!

largeginandtonic · 10/09/2007 13:02

Hello lovely ladies. Im back from a chotic weekend at my DH sis wedding. She looked stunning and little Phin was bridesmaid just gorgeous.

The venue was very child friendly, lovely hotel in Oxford. Would quite like to live there really >

Im debating the xmas meetup but funds are tight

JuA · 10/09/2007 15:52

Hi all
Just had a lovely couple of nights in the Lakes - we even managed a walk with no pushchair!! only a mile and the dts probably managed to walk about half of it!! We will have them up proper hills in no time!

Mommalove your babies are gorgeous - it almost makes me want to do it again - but not quite!

Christmas! I have got as far as writing a list of who I need to buy presents for! Triplets my nephew is 9 in October and I have just got him a set of Dr Who books from the book people - 10 for £10 - not sure if they will be too hard for him but he is a pretty good reader.

Been thinking about holidays for next year - around May time - anyone got any suggestions dd1 wil be 4 and dts 2.

frumpygrumpy · 10/09/2007 20:09

Wow, you girls are all out and doing! Triplets, are they too old for the wheelie things you clip on the heels of your shoes? The ones that light up. My DD1 was given some and hasn't managed to get to grips with them yet so I think maybe for older children. Other than that I'm thinking CD players/ipod things if they like music, vouchers/money for independent buying.

I got one of my nieces an HMV giftcard last xmas and she was chuffed to bits. (a) credit card shape (b) independent shopping (c) game for her DS, sorted. Mars.........

frumpygrumpy · 10/09/2007 20:10

I'm still a big supporter of giving them paper NOW and getting them to do hypothetical, wish lists

tkband3 · 10/09/2007 20:32

I'm afraid for OH's nephews and niece who are all now into double figures, I take the line of least resistance and get amazon vouchers

I have to tell you all how proud I am of DD1...I was very tense this morning, particularly as I thought we were going to be late, but she just took it all in her stride. And when her teacher opened the door, she just skipped in, saying hello to her and left me, OH and the DTs staring after her! I followed her in and she'd handed her bag to one of the teaching assistants, and just sat straight down and started painting . I begged a kiss goodbye, OH barely got a smile and we left. The only tears were from DT1 who was distraught that she wasn't allowed to stay as well . When I picked DD1 up at midday she was very clingy and I asked her teacher if she'd been ok...she said she'd been great, really chatty, very independent, tried a bit of everything and generally had a great morning. On further questioning, I found out the reason she was upset - she wanted to stay for the whole day .

And tomorrow morning they are all at school and I am going for a coffee with a friend

inamuckingfuddle · 10/09/2007 21:16

just had row with DH in front of my parents he is off playing rugby again this sat and intends staying out drinking...I am meant to go along with this because he's 'so good' the rest of the time and puts up with me working

large glass of red please
