Breast feeding twins

Hello Ladies,

I have three week old twins, born by c-section.

I really want to solely breast feed, but despite being three weeks in I still do not seem to be producing enough milk.
When I pump I get about 50m at a time, so I have to top with formula.

I would to hear how much milk other twin mums produce?

Any tips on increasing milk would be great?

Hay, I breastfeed my twins but never got much when pumping. It's not necessarily a good reflection of your supply.

I would post in the section about breastfeeding I think it's under the section called 'Feed the World' or something like that for tips about increasing your supply. Might have more answers than on here!

You can’t compare breast milk with formula when it comes to quantity. 50ml a time per breast is fine

I recommend joining the Breastfeeding Twins and Triplets UK on Facebook. It’s a very knowledgeable and supportive group. X

Just keep expressing and putting them to the boob and eventually your supply will grow. It just takes a lot of determination.
I’ve gone from not feeding at all due to being in HDU to exclusively. Hard work but worth it. Mine was single baba but a friend of mine was in the same situation as you only hers were in scabu for two weeks, she ended up breastfeeding them for a year

Look at the babies or a picture of them as you express.

My doctors gave me a small amount of oxytocin to boost supply (for three :-)) you may want to ask.
