Missing the first smile

Just back from six week check (done at eight weeks here) and the twins aren’t smiling.

Windy smiles yes, but smile smiles no. I’ve to go back at ten weeks if they haven’t started.

Has this happened to anyone here? Did it resolve? If it didn’t what was wrong?

Neither of mine smiled until about 4 months. We used to say that they were holding out for proper comedy, and they're both very smiley now!

Neither of mine smiled properly until about 3-4 months. My 6 month old has only just started laughing properly and even then he makes you work for it!
