My oldest twins were 6 in March. They share a room and have bunk beds. They get spooked by high wind/rain/thunder and wake up and share a bed as they are scared.

recently without the high winds etc..they have been sharing a bed.

DP thinks we should put a stop to it, but i'm not sure if it is a problem, they are still little and must have a nice twin bond.

Anyone else been through this??

i dont have twins.my eldest are year and 5 days apart and very close.they mostly share a bed although they have seperate rooms.i feel if they sleep better like it its fine.(mine are dd 7 and ds6)

My boys shared a bed until 5 months ago, when they started to get fed up of kicking each other etc. They've just turned 8. I think they will naturally grow out of it and want their own space. At 6 they're still very little.

Noooo.....leave them be.My DTs are only little,( not quite one..),and they sleep in the same cot,( nice big american one so not too squashed..). Why does DP want to put a stop to it ? My DS1 still sleeps in our rooom and he is 6...on a little trundle bed. It's just what he likes doing....though we ' trundle ' him into his younger brothers' room when we want ' grown up time ',( euphemism for sex for those of you not in the know... ).....

Aaw I think it's lovely. I'd leave them to it.

My dt's share a room. I'd love to have a bigger house so they could have a room each, but I bet if we ever moved they'd still want to be together anyway

You say they are your 'oldest' twins, and your name has made me wonder too, Twinmummyx2. So do you have two sets of twins? - Wow!

Twinmummyx2 · 18/05/2007 11:20

I am happy to leave them, i think it is sweet too.

I think DP is a bit concerned that twin 2 is more scared 'than twin 1', so it is preventing 'twin 1' getting a good nights sleep. But i have told him that twin 1 would be yelling about it if it was a problem.

I think Dp also feels a bit put out that twin 2 will go to his twin brother rather than us when scared in the night. He dosen't quite get the twin bond thing...lol

Thanks everyone.xx
