Do reins work with twins?

We went to centerparcs last week. Total nightmare. 19 month old twins off in opposite directions and our 3.5 year old fed up with us chasing after them all the time. But wouldn’t reins make them angry?! And would they get tangled up with each other?!

We use reins, but we have since they started walking (they are now 20 months). To them it signals going walking rather than being trapped in the pushchair so they quite enjoy having them on.
I'll admit it is a bit awkward with one adult holding both kids in reins, it helps if we have someone to follow so you can keep reminding them of the direction they are supposed to be going in. It's super easy with one adult per twin.
We bought the very basic reins from Boots.

In my experience no!

Haha, thanks both of you! Not sure it’s a good idea!

Not in my experience - unless you enjoy being pulled in two directions at once! I ended up making mine hold onto buggy with threat of going in it if they misbehaved.

Nope they ran round me and nearly pulled me over!

Worked for me to an extent. Depends on the character of each twin!

Yeah their general vibe is ‘let’s go in opposite directions’ and ‘let’s get really angry and scream if we don’t get to where we want to go’
