Sharing a bedroom

We have B/G twins who will be 5 in August. They have always shared a bedroom and ideally we want them to share as long as possible as at the moment it means we can use the other bedroom for our au pair who is our lifeline.

Just interested to know of anyone with B/G twins in a similar situation and when did they ask for separate bedrooms.

Sorry no experience yet but I'd think it's fine until they're about 8 when your DD might start puberty. Your DS is likely to be a year later.

I used to babysit B/G siblings who were a school year apart in age. They were still sharing at 10/11 because they had a baby sibling in the only other bedroom. I found it a bit creepy as the boy was at the stage of staring at boobs etc.

I know 3 siblings who share, boy age 8, girl age 5 and girl age 3. They love sharing and certainly don't need to as they have a 14 bedroom mansion house.
