Anyone else experience this?

So I’m 30+6 today with non identical girls. Anyway been having Braxton Hicks for a while now but yesterday they went from 20 minutes apart at lunch time to then 15, then 10 and by the time I was seen at hospital they was 6 minutes apart. The babies are both happily kicking away in there etc they gave me one shot of steroid yesterday and got to go back today for the second.
What’s worrying me is how often they are coming the bh. They checked my cervix and said it looks closed and also did the fibronectin test which came back negative which I know is all good signs. But surely the amount of bh I’m getting can’t be normal?!
Some are only lasting 40 seconds and not that tight where as others are lasting a good 1minute 20 and it makes me hold my breath sometimes it goes that tight.
Any insight would be great if anyone’s had this and it led to anything etc?
Also last week or so not been able to shake the feeling of my waters just going. Not sure if it’s because I’m worrying about the Braxton Hicks or what. Thanks

Still the same. My stomach aches as it’s doing it so often but thankfully only 10/15 mins apart and not all day just quite regular intervals. Had both steroid jabs now and I’m 31 weeks today. Still can’t shake the feeling of my waters just gonna go. It sounds stupid but before we found out it was twins I couldn’t shake the feeling we was having twins everyone thought I was crazy then obviously had a scan which showed twins. It’s the same with the waters I can’t shift that feeling that they are gonna go soon 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe my mind is just in overdrive now

I had singleton pregnancies and had dreadful Braxton Hicks around the clock for months. They never let up. I'd get one whenever I moved, basically! I think I had an irritable uterus.

But, crucially, they never actually hurt so I knew they weren't real. I was probably far too relaxed about it and never took myself in to be checked, but hey, they both stayed in until term

Yeah I had an irritable womb with my son (last pregnancy nearly four years ago) and they told me to monitor it.
It’s not painful just annoying and achy. Some wake me up in the night but not enough that it’s painful if that makes sense.

Had them like that from 28 weeks with my triplets. I hung on for another 5 weeks. They used to take my breath away. If you're overdoing things, stop. You should really be taking it easy now.

That’s the thing the day it started was the day I had spent my morning in bed, Thursday and Friday are my rest days when my 3 year old is in nursery and it all started Thursday. Then carried on since. I’m hoping they ease off. They have been every 7 mins before but then settled after about an hour but to be fair I did have a bit of a cleaning spree putting washing away etc. I know I shouldn’t but it was driving me crazy

I had frequent BH all through my Singleton and twin pregnancies- with the twins they did get really uncomfy as the bump was just so huge it would press right up to my ribs nd down in my bladder / pelvis. I still went to 37+1 when they came naturally (also non-id). Good luck whatever happens!

That’s really reassuring to know Thankyou hoping they hang in as long as possible. My Singleton it kicked off at 26 weeks and he stayed in till his due date so hoping these two get the memo.

IIRC dehydration can make them worse, but (ironically) so can having a full bladder

I don’t stop drinking 🙈 or weeing for that matter haha

Hi, I'm 31 weeks with Didi twins. My bh contractions vary each day. If I'm in the office I get loads! I have 2 more weeks left til I leave. They feel like my tummy is shrink wrapped, take my breath away and my bump goes a weird shape. The office is stuffy thanks to some colleagues that want heater on all day, the chair isnt comfy and I sit more upright. I'm busier too.

When I'm at home relaxing and cooler and more hydrated, I get way less bh contractions.

It’s good to know it’s normal and a lot of people experience it then. It has put my mind at ease a little. Thanks ladies
