Compact double pushchair/stroller

We’ve got a mountain buggy for our (almost 14 month) twins which is great as the main pram but want to get a lighter pushchair to keep in the car and use for holidays etc. My main aim is to get one that folds quite small, folding size doesn’t seem to be mentioned much on the online reviews. Does anyone have a recommendation?

My cousin bought the Uppababy G-link umbrella twin stroller for her twins for travel and recommended it to me too.

Might be worth a look - good luck.

Watching with interest. I have an out about nipper and I wanted a lighter, more foldable buggy to take on holiday so we bought a Chicco Echo and I hate it - Ok, it folds down small enough to go in the backseat but it’s incredibly heavy and unwieldy, plus it’s a nightmare to push and I spent the whole holiday getting it jammed in doorways 😐 I would love to find a light, manoeuvrable double stroller.

Thanks.
I wouldn’t be looking for an uppababy cos it would be more for a main pram. That’s good to know about chicco echo will bear that in mind.
Does anyone out there have a double Maclaren? What do you think?

We have a double MacLaren. To be honest the only benefit it that it's easier to fold and fits in the buggy shed at nursery. That's what we bought it for and got it second-hand. It serves its purpose but I'd be annoyed if I'd bought it brand new.
It is quite noticeably harder to push than our Bugaboo Donkey which is our main pushchair.

That’s informative @scrunchybook. We would continue to use the mountain buggy day to day but this would be for when we go away in the car (MB takes up so much space). We’ve got 2 week long trips planned so far in 2018 and I really need more boot space! We don’t use the car much at home. Is it relatively light to lift into the car? Would you say it’s quite compact on folding?

It takes up less space in the boot but it's long rather than the square-ish chunk of the Bugaboo (we have an estate car).
Easy to lift in and out as well, it has a handle on the side to carry it.
We got ours from a local twins group selling page on Facebook.

I must admit I do get jealous of those singleton pushchairs that collapse to the size of a backpack Envy

Thanks! I’m going to look out for a second hand one I think so maybe won’t get much choice. Our current pram literally takes at least half our massive 4x4 boot and we don’t have enough space for other stuff when going away!
