Twins after twin miscarriage

I had a mc back in may. Found out in April it was twins. Started bleeding at week 7, one died at week 9 and other died week 10. I had to have surgical management at the end of May. I already have 1 child (aged 3).

Waited one cycle, then bam... immediately pregnant. Went to scan at 5 weeks as had some shoulder pain consistent with ectopic pregnancy. Anyway long story short, it's twins again. What a shock!

Is there ANY hope this will be ok? Given my history? I'm feeling like it's already doomed.

There is every chance that you will have a healthy pregnancy. I know someone who like you miscarried twins and then went on to have a healthy set of twins

Every pregnancy is different. Just make sure you look after yourself and try not to worry (which I know is hard, I suffered 2 missed miscarriages before my child) CakeBrewFlowers

Congrats.

Thanks. I've taken the approach of trying not to think about it too much. I think it's a defence thing right now. It hurt a lot when I lost my first twins. I can't cope with thought of it happening again.

I had a missed miscarriage, don't know if it was twins or a singleton as it was very early. My periods were all over the place then ended up pregnant with twins 3 months after. Despite being anxious throughout the pregnancy, they were born healthy and well at 37 weeks. I can't tell you it will be okay, but you're not automatically doomed. Good luck, look after yourself and all the best xxx
