Sleep regression

DTwins are 16 months, one has started waking in the night and screaming the house down until I go in, when I get her she immediately falls asleep on me. Not wanting to start something I try and soothe her and put back down. This usually results in her screaming and waking her sister (same room, different cots) who then obviously wants my attention. So I'm left with 2 pissed off babies who both want a cuddle from me. Tonight when the twin that wakes up did so, I legged it to her room and got her before she woke her sister. We are currently on the sofa with her asleep on me, and me wide awake knowing I'm making a rod for my own back....
I can't do pat shush (which worked with their old brother) as it causes so much commotion that it wakes the other twin up. Sadly no option for separate bedrooms, but at 3am I am considering putting DS in with the sleeping DD which in itself would be bonkers...sleep deprivation is getting to me!

Does she ever self settle again once she wakes up? I only ask as one of our twins (18 months) is an atrocious sleeper and was constantly waking up at 3am. We eventually left her as it was becoming a habit and she clearly wasn't distressed as she would immediately fall asleep on me or in our bed. Sorry not much help but I feel your pain x

She will self settle at bedtime but I've tried leaving her to see if she will go back off on her own, but it then tends to go on long enough for it to wake her sister and then I have to deal with both of them.
I put her down not long after this post, she was awake but dropping off on me, she went down fine, not a peep. She then started again at 5.15, I left her but it escalated and when I went in she was asleep but her sister was up and wide awake laughing and chatting. That was me up for the day.
She 100% isn't herself at the moment, tantrums and upset, I've put it down to the cold they all had at Christmas, but even then she was sleeping through. I will try self settling again tonight if it happens, it always worked with their older brother, I just think I'm a bit too quick to get her for fear of her waking her brother and sister. Is she cutting teeth? Again our lg slept worse (if that's possible) when getting teeth. I was also racing into the room to avoid her waking the whole house but for some reason she never really disturbed her brother. I do think it became a comfort thing. Twins are tricky clients

That's what I'm concerned about, she can be clingy at the best of times but more so at the moment. Can't feel any teeth buds but I'm rubbish at telling, even with 3 DCs!

She's just had a tantrum where she wouldn't let me pick her up or comfort her, physically batting me away, running off and arching her back. I've had to leave her to it, rolling around on the floor screaming! Then as if nothing has happened she sits up and starts smiling and chatting....definitely something going on!

Hey was last night any better? Our lot pulled a fabulous stunt and was up 3-4.30 and by that stage she had woken her brother. 😓

Last night DTwins slept through - yessss!

DS woke up at 12.30 asking for a drink and something to eat...had him back down for 1am.

One of the girls has already been up tonight but hoping that's it for tonight...not holding my breath!

Did you manage to get them both down after that or was that you up for the day?!

Up last night 12.30 - 2am, tried everything but just had to let her play for a bit until she was tired. Slept until 7.30am after that. She managed to wake her brother (in another room) but he was happy to go back to sleep when I told him it was still nighttime!

Wow that's an improvement isn't it! We also had an uninterrupted nights slerp, the first in months! Hoping that if my lo is going through some regression we might be coming out the other side. I'm so scared to get my hopes up because this has literally gone on for months💤

Fingers crossed for you that is the beginning of the end, sleep regression sucks, factoring in other children not waking sucks even more!
