Just wondering how you all manage doing housework with twins. Mine are 6 months and breastfed and I'm finding it quite hard work keeping on top of things. If I'm not feeding I'm running round cleaning etc then feeding again lol. Guess I just gotta deal with it Confused

At 6 months did not manage! My MiI was a star and would give the bathroom a quick once over or help herself to the duster every now and then (tbh I think she'd being dying to since even before the twins arrived). I mostly cleaned one handed with baby wipes Blush. Only thing I could recommend is a a Ewbank carpet sweeper. Don't think I managed to get the Hoover out in months but that was much easier/quieter to grab and give a quick whip round. It's was hard at that stage because I think I felt I should have been coping better/needing less help by then, but the breastfeeding really does take it out of you and they start needing a lot of other attention too, so don't put pressure on yourself. Take it easy :-) (PS we got a cleaner shortly after I went back to work.)

Mine are 11 months and it's still difficult. DS is 2 and a bit, he makes the most mess tbf. I vacuum first thing whilst they have milk, then dust and dishwasher whilst it's nap time, but the bulk gets done as soon as they go up to bed.

This is a good day though! Some days nothing gets done!

No didn't manage. Had to get a cleaner.

Interesting to hear how people get by! At 6 months I did the minimum, usually when DH was here to juggle twins and toddler.

Now we're in the school holidays (I'm a teacher), DTs (15mos) and DS1 go to the minder once a week and I blitz the house.

Don't know how I'll manage when I'm back to school as there's just no time to get anything done.

Have you got a DH/partner who can help with this sort of stuff??

We didn't manage for a long time, and whilst a reasonable level of cleanliness is obviously important, we just stopped caring about keeping it too presentable to be honest. Eventually we gave up and got a cleaner, who comes in once a fortnight and is a total godsend - if you can, just get help!

At 6 months they napped for two hours x2 a day so in the first nap I whizzed round, in the 2nd nap I had some me time. I breastfed too. I guess not all babies are good nappers though Grin

Cleaner. Couldn't have done it otherwise.
