I'm planning on mine staring a cot bed from day one so I'll be following this closely. There's useful information in the TAMBA website about this suggesting it's ok and some babies sleep better like this.

Mine shared a cot in our bedroom until 7 months, we moved them to their own bedroom and own cots and they didn't settle well so continued to share until 14 months. At 2.6 they still often have a afternoon nap squashed into one cot.

Mine shared a cot in my room when they weren't in my bed until they wouldn't both fit anymore.

First they went in side by side at the foot of the cot, then they went side by side across the width of the cot, and finally they went at either end with their heads in the middle.

It made a huge difference only having one cot in our bedroom. There wasn't much space which two cots in there!

Sorry no advice as don't have twins but it must be the most loveliest thing to see two babies snuggled up together in the same cot! Smile

i take it that will work for 3? i didnt know if they got to clingy and would only sleep when with others? it will also depend on how long they are in hospital ect xx

I'm sure there's a super cute picture in the TAMBA info of three co sleeping. They'll be smaller initially so plenty of space to lie them side by side lengthways in a cot bed.

Ok so no picture but it does talk about triplets and more

You should do what suits you and your family. If you can fit three cots in your bedroom then great! My cousin has gbb triplets and they each slept in their own cots.

My twins shared a cot, then mostly slept with me, now at 2 years they share a double mattress. As long as they get used to each other's noises (mine do and don't wake each other up now) then I think they like the company and familiarity. After sharing a womb, I think it might be odd for them to be on their own at first!
