SIL has had twins 9 weeksearly

Both same weight.In SCBU doing Ok.Really chuffed but a bitanxious for her.Really cannot imagine having twins,never mind preemies.

3lb 20z Tiny tots!!Cant imagine anything so small as mine were quite big but still seemed tiny!!

Both the same weight - wow! That's not bad for nine week early twins though! Bet they look adorable - and sooo tiny!

ds3 was 8 weeks early and is absolutely fine. Twins tend to be early anyway, a high proportion of the babies in SCBU with him were twins. Congrats to your SIL!

Congratulations to her! My friend had a baby girl the same weight. I remember holding her for the first time in SCBU and having to be gowned up and hold my arm right next to my body so she wouldn't fall through! I felt like there was nothing in my arms!!

She has had no problems and is now a tall, glamorous 11 yr old. I have twins too and when they're not driving me potty they are lovely. Point her towards the multiples thread on here if she needs help or to let off steam at any point.

wow congrats to sil - does worry me though. DS was born at 36 weeks, how early are our twins going to arrive and will I have sorted out a pushchair!! .

My twins were born at 29 weeks and were 2lb 13 and 2lb 14.5

oooggs... twins don't necessarily arrive early. I know of a fair few that arrived on time and even some that came late.

mine born 8weeks early, 3lb 2oz and 3lb 15 oz, in scbu for 5 weeks - both healthy and fantastic 6 yr olds now.
