Twin pram

Hi, I'm five months pregnant with twins. I'm just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for prams? I'm finding it an actual nightmare. Thanks

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with twins and have become a slightly strange person where when ever I see twins in town I got up to the mum/dad and and ask them what they think of their pram. I've had replies from don't buy this one it's so wide I'm going to try and sell it to it's ok and we have finally settled (we think) on the ohbaby zoom tandem after asking someone in Leeds. If you're a TAMBA member! they have a twin pram guide which you might find handy. It depends what your priorities are e.g. I wanted a side by side which was narrow enough to fit through standard doorways and would fit in the back of my not very big boot when folded (we got a Nipper 360 which has suited us well). Another idea is to go along to your local twins club and have a chat with people there e.g. check out the steering!

I've got 11 Wk id twins, the zoom was on our short list but the. baby jogger city select won hands down. Much more versatile and gives decent leg room but not as long as the zoom and can be used as a single for when they're older and you don't always need a double.

We are keen on the zoom but will look at the other too. Does anyone know the best shops to look at them. Our mothercare only had one

The only place I saw a zoom was in a mothercare outletstore and the baby jogger was in single vversion in john Lewis, I didn't ask if they could make it into a double as I'd seen it yrs ago in a tiny independent shop, long story attached to that. It will depend where you live which shops you have locally

I recently saw a preloved zoom come up on one of the twin FB selling pages (fab resource, by the way'Yummy Twin Mummies' and 'Twins and MoreStuff Galore'), so you should definitely have a look and ask around there!

I think that different prams work best for different people. What are your top priorities? If you like the zoom, the Baby Jogger City Select might also be a good fit for you (stadium seating, can face each other, etc).

Personally I love my side-by-side, the Bugaboo Donkey, as it's so easy to push, is narrow enough to go through standard doors, and my kids can face me or face out or face each other. Also collapses down to a single. They're very expensive new, but I've seen used duo ones selling for as little as £575 on gumtree. We bought ours used and it's been a real godsend.

I have the baby jogger city select and I love it. Our main reason for buying it to begin with was that it was the only one that would fold down and fit in our boot! I personally prefer the tandem style as I find it easier to get around shops etc and the seats are flexible in terms of which ways they face to suit what you want/different stages.

I don't have twins but I had ds 2 when ds1 was 20 months and not walking. I have a britax side by side double.
It has pros and cons
pros
-I haven't yet found a door it doesn't fit through (had it 9 months and take it everywhere)
-folds easily
-can fit a car seat on top
-good rain cover
-easy access to basket
-1 handed steering is a godsend
-massive individual hoods
-seats move independently
Cons
-the seats don't sit completely upright so ds1 sometimes gets stroppy
-1 popper keeps coming undone resulting in seat being even less upright
