Anyone else knackered?

Am so crazy happy and amazed that we have twins who are b/g and now 6 months (yes we made it to 6 months!!!)

But oh my god I'm knackered!!!

Sometimes they wake once a night and others every 3/4 hours each.

And the day is a constant go, go, go!!!

Arrhhhhhh!!!!

And breathe

How's everyone else's day/experience?

I could have written this post. I'm shattered today. No particular reason... just twins.

Went to a mums group the other day as they had a crèche for little babies, and the lady running it looked at me like I was asking them to go a bridge too far by having to look after my 4-month-old twins. :( Feels sometimes like I'm completely alone in this! People love twins until you take them up on their offer of helping out.

It does get easier bit I found the first year knackering!!!
A few of my tips for survival
My DT used to sleep every afternoon for about 2 hours. I would always spend at least an hour of this sitting on the sofa sleeping or reading a book.
After breakfast they would sit in their high chairs in the kitchen and watched me iron or do some cooking. They soon got used to sitting for 30 minutes in the chairs. It's amazing what you can do in 30 minutes!!
I wasn't very social with baby groups for the first year. I was very very lucky I had a great friend with twins almost the same age. We did meet up and moan how difficult everything was.
I went to bed very early, I seem to remember 8.30 some nights, this did make the 11.00pm hard but it was the only way I could catch up on my sleep.
At the weekends I often went to bed in the afternoon.

You are doing a brilliant job and it does get much easier.

My twins are just over one now... They sleep more at night so I probably shouldn't be so knackered but today I really am!

They are starting to work together and I am sometimes scared of being alone with them At the moment they are throwing large amounts of duplo over the stairgate. The one who can walk is the 'thrower' and her crawling brother is gathering the duplo together and handing it to her.

I am lying on the sofa, with a horrible cold, just watching them and feeling exhausted. They wrestle and bite each other a lot of the time & I have to separate them. Five minutes later though, they will be usually crawling around together, babbling to each other & laughing. The nice moments where they are having fun with each other are stating to make up for some of the tiring times, at least.

I was also shattered when mine were that age. They are 12 yrs now, so I can categorically say…

this too shall pass

I hear you! Mine are 15 months and in the on all the bloody time. I totally underestimated how much chaos 2 babies can create! They definitely egg each other on and while I'm sorting out one disaster, the other one has emptied another cupboard or climbed on the table .

I find that we have to get out of the house everyday or we all get stir crazy. Our twin club is fab and we've all started going to another group together too. We all help each other out so you don't tend to notice the mums of singletons looking at you as if you have 2 heads!

But yes, I am exhausted :(.

Sugarplump, we braved soft play this week. Was actually much easier than I thought!

I too am exhausted, mine are 17months now. My son has been waking everybody up at 3am most days since xmas with teething pain. Did manage swimming, soft play and two trips to the park this week though so i'm happy with that!

My twins are 2 and I also have 3yr and 2 older kids

Im exhausted .. actually could slip into a coma im so tired
