DC/DA twins- one ?IUGR

At our 32 week scan we found out twin 1's growth has started to slow down. They were roughly the same size at 28 weeks. We have a repeat scan next week and they will make a decision about delivery. I will be 34 weeks. I was wondering if anyone had experienced the same? I'm really worried about them deciding to deliver early and feeling incredibly guilty that it is somehow my fault. Twin 2 is thriving (5lbs) which makes me more worried about a chromosomal cause stopping twin 1 from growing.

Have they mentioned IUGR or is it you googling? I only ask because I was convinced of the same. Twin 1 was tiny compared to Twin 2 but she kept growing, just smaller. She was 2lb 8oz smaller when she was born, but completely fine.

One if my twins had IuGR.. Were scanned twice a week to check fluid levels and placental blood flow. Growth scan every two Weeks. also on a monitor for movement twice a week. That was from 26 Weeks pregnant. Thought I'd have to deliver at 32 Weeks, but we made it to 35. she is perfectly on track and is doing great now. They are 16 months now. The other twin needed more help after birth than she did.

The doctor wrote ?IUGR on the scan form and so I have been googling which is a bad idea! My fluid levels are low in that sac but they say blood flow in the placenta is ok. Did your babies spend much time in SCBU/ NICU? Were both babies kept together? So glad that they are all doing well. I feel so blessed to be expecting twins but sometimes wish my pregnancy was simpler!

However, all was fine in my pregnancy until a routine scan at 34 weeks found twin 1 with no fluid at all. I was given steriods that day with a plan for a c section 48 hours later. I started having contractions the following day so they decided to deliver them. They were 5lb4 & 5lb8.

The babies were in NICU for 4 days and SCBU for 8 days. Both were able to breath on their own but were struggling to maintain temperature. Twin 1 (the one with no fluid) also had an infection so had to have antibiotics.

My IUGR was caused by my daughters placenta being smaller, they had attatched in the same place iyskim. I didn't see them at all for 24 hours but it was my boy who was in intensive care due to breathing issues and fluid on the lung. My daughter had jaundice and couldn't maintain body temperature. So all in all she was the healthier baby at birth. Apgar scores were both a nine, and they spent 13 days in nicu/scbu before I brought them home. It was a positive result. The doctors monitoring me were excellent and the neonatal staff. Most of the time their cots were next to each other and they slept together when I got them home. I hope it works out well for you OP. It did for me so have faith. Twins really are a blessing. They will enrich your life more than you thought possible

Hello Ladies, I got a very depressing situation if someone can help or give me advice or remedy for this situation. I am scared to death now. Its our IVF pregnancy after 5 years and this doctor after the scan gave us no hope yesterday. I am 22 week pregnant and my Twin A is 5 weeks behind and with very low fluid and less blood supply. I wounder if someone had a same situation ? According to the doctor we will give another 2-4 week and will continue to monitor closely. Twin A always been a slow starter from the start and I am hoping will recover the size I am keeping myself positive and praying. PLEASE HELP!!!
