Potty training

My twins are 2yr and 7 months. We stayed in for a week and my little girl has picked up potty training in a week but my little boy still needs me to always prompt him he's not bothered about taking himself to potty. Shall I leave him for a few weeks/months not sure he is ready. Should I put him back into nappies or put him I'm pull ups? Please advise

we used pull ups for our DT boys but I know lots of people are against them

I wouldn't stop completely but you may find he needs more encouragement - we used raisins - and it certainly took longer for ours to be consistently dry all day

Hi mrs, I have just been pt with my 3 year old boys.

looks like we are at similar stages with them.
I have to prompt them to use the potty, although they will occasionally tell me they need to go.
We don't have many accidents, so I think at the moment they just rely on me telling them.
We found stickers worked well as a reward, I might give my 2 a sticker every time they take themselves to the toilet - or tell me they need to go.

My daughter announced she wanted to use the toilet at that age and was dry by day just like that. Her brother wasn't remotely interested and he was only dry a year later. Although we very much followed them, it had its pluses that we weren't dashing with both of them to the toilet out.

During that time he had both nappies and pull ups, I don't think it really made a difference. He still wasn't that keen when he did train but with him approaching 4 it was definitely needed. He was physically ready but just lazy, in the end his sister took matters into her own hands and packed some pants in his preschool bag. The staff thought I'd put them in and gave it a go.

He was dry at night soon after, but his sister still isn't and they're 6 now. Definitely an individual process!
