Last scan - large OFD

We went for our last scan yesterday (am currently 35+2 and have been booked for induction on 37+2 if they don't arrive before). Pregnancy has gone well no other problems apart from the usual morning sickness. Both boys are a good size (5lbs 14ozs & 6lbs 4ozs). The second has always been bigger but when they gave me the measurements his occipitofrontal diameter was off the chart. He has always measured bigger and the other results including head circumference are within the 50-95th percentile. The sonographer said both babies were doing well it was only when I looked at the measurement on the print out that I saw it was over the 95th centile. I have stupidly searched on 'google' and am now panicking that something is wrong??? I conceived using donor sperm so I know a little about the donor but not the size of his head!!! Just wondered if anyone had similar experience or any advice about what to do?

The sonographer would have said something if there was something wrong, they may have even put you through to a consultant / registrar if something had been picked up.

Why don't you give your midwife a call, she will be able to set your mind at ease.

Congratulations btw. Are they ID or fraternal ?

I think it can be very difficult to get accurate measurements later on. I had my twins at 37w6 and at the scan three days before they reckoned both twins were 8 lb. DD was actually 5 lb 10, and they said that was due to her lying at an angle so her abdominal circumference had been measured at an oblique angle and looked bigger than it was. I also had measurements that weren't plotted properly which gave odd centiles too.

I'm sure if they were worried at the scan you'd have been seen after, but likeOzma said, I'd call if worried.
