Dear God......they it all day on i-pods and x-boxes, you long for bedtime to get some peace...................they have unearthed their old Nintendos and are all now rolling with laughter playing Super Mario! Thurs/Frid/Sat/Sund........4 days to go before sanity resumes. Night all xx

Worked called me today to check up and when I'm going to bring the twins to see them and to also ask if I'd return to work 2 months early on the new part time contract we discussed (2 8hour days Mon/Fri) haven't discussed it with dh yet but I'm thinking about it. Only thing is I'd be leaving the boys at 10 months not at 12 which was the plan we agreed to.

Not sure what to do, I'll be going back to work in Sept but only up to a few days before my due date in Dec then I'll be on leave again. 2 months extra pay would be nice.

Anyway, had quite a lazy day spent cuddling with sick dh while df had dc minus dts. I hate seeing dh sick :(

Chopstheduck · 11/04/2013 07:19

I didn't realise you were pg too, mama Shock Congrats! Grin

I'd prob go back to work if I had the chance, otherwise it would be even harder after the next one. I haven't worked since having my second and I do miss it a bit.

Soks, i do think some people do just have shit teeth. Mine went to crap after having the dts. Had most of them removed last year and was very very glad to see the back of them! Grin

My lot have time limits for video games, but preteen dd still finds a screen to glue herself to a lot of the time. Talking to friends on facebook mostly. There seems to be very little motivation nowadays for kids to actually get out and meet up, especially girls. I see gangs of boys hanging out, but all the girls seem to sit at home on facebook! She has been out on her bike quite a bit with Jack, but not made any arrangements to see friends.

I walked for MILES yesterday. Literally 10-12 miles through the forest with the kids on their bikes. Even bought them cream cakes while out and sat and watched them eat them. And the scales haven't budged even a millimeter

Goodmorning girls, seagulls are squarking on the roof next door, what a racket! Mama and Chops you both make me feel guilty with all you do.....my excuse is my age! I never went back to work after we go married, so always been a sahm, seems to be going on forever! Mama poor dh hope its nothing serious. x

shabbatheGreek · 11/04/2013 08:05

Smile have been awake hours and hours Trips.....been awake, that is, except for my brain!!! Yep....'another day in paradise.'

Sokmonsta · 11/04/2013 10:00

Morning! It's one of those mischievous but happy days here. James has been apologising to his sister's stuffed animals (!). Shopping delivered and put away, washing and drying on. Am feeling quite motivated today but off to my parents for lunch. Am taking my nit-busting kit just in case my sister hasn't had time.

Am quite concerned about going to my parents at the moment but I feel mum could do with some support. Apparently dad had a massive temper tantrum the other day, throwing things around the house, screaming, swearing and wishing he wasn't 'here'. All over a phone call because he'd forgotten to pick someone up and take them somewhere, on my mum's birthday and in front of my nieces. Mum is more upset that he behaved that way and still hasn't apologised. I often wonder what keeps them together as these blow-ups seem to get more frequent. I am so glad we don't rely on my parents to look after the dc now. It always felt like an imposition, that I should be looking after them myself and they should enjoy them as grandchildren and not charges. Dh doesn't want me to take them if dad is home! I've said until he blows up in front of them, I see no reason to stop going. And awful as it is, we have sons and my dad is so looking forward to taking James to see the steam trains, take him fishing and do the 'boy' things with him that he's less likely to do it if James is around. He's already remarkably more tolerant of James' behaviour than any of the others, even if they happen to be doing exactly the same thing!

MamaBlue4 · 11/04/2013 13:12

chops Yup, suspected twins (again), too. I'll find out on 18th if it is. Too... so I'm guessing you are too? Congrats!

He has walking pneumonia and on medication for it. It's hard keeping the dts away from him, when they sometimes scream for him when they see him.

trips You're as young as you feel! But I wish I could use age as an excuse haha. I'd love to slow down but dh has ocd and I have slight ocd which is organizing and alphabetizing haha.

soks It must be hard for your mum to watch that happening but I think seeing the boys would perk him right up. :)

Chopstheduck · 11/04/2013 13:55

Nooo, no more babies for me! I meant 'too' in as well as coping with four very litte ones. My youngest (twins) are 8 now, dd is 12, ds1 is 10. I'm enjoying them being a bit older now and being able to do a bit more with them.

MamaBlue4 · 11/04/2013 17:35

chops Ahh, I'm catching on now. I blame lack of sleep, the twins have been waking up every 1-3 hours for the past week so I'm in zombie mode at the moment.

Although I can't wait for that older stage and do, like you said, more things with them. I'm really loving their young ages. Watching their personalities develop and how excited they get at simple things makes the age gaps, sleepless nights worth it :)

bubby64 · 11/04/2013 18:44

Sorry, AWOL for a couple of days.
Mama- you are brave, would you be disappointed if it wasnt another set of twins, or relived because it would be a bit easier with just one more?
Chops - you sound as if you hada great time, wearing them out as well. Congrats on another fitness milestone.
Trips- Sorry to hear about the teeth problems, I have been quite lucky with mine lately , but had a horrenfous time with them when younger, mainly due to an over enthusiastic NHS dentist who got paid per filling, whether the tooth needed it or notSad
Soks- it is always a problem when a relative has problems with their temper, my MiL has tremendous temper tantrums, mainly due to her mdntal health problems, luckily she is over in Spain, so we don't have to deal with her anymore.
Shabs- are you ok love, how is it going with your Dad?
Well, consultant couldn't manipulate James's testicle down, so he has been put on the waiting list for an orcidoplasty, and, as consultant said his retained testicle was slightly swollen, he hopefully should be done within the next 2 months.
Having problems with my leg, it has swollen up so much the skin is cracking a bit, and this is not only making the whole leg sore, but its itching like mad too. I was first told to walk on it as much as I could, but now have been told I have done too much, and need to rest it moreAngry . TBH, the whole lower leg/foot looks a mess, like a scaley red tree trunk, 3x the size of my other ankle, and the scars are healing very messily. Feeling quite depressed about the whole thing at the momentSad I know its going to take time, but I certainly can't see me wearing skirts in the near future, unless they are maxi length to hide the whole thing.Confused

triplets · 12/04/2013 08:14

Goodmorning girls. After disturbing the whole house since 6.30m dk and ds have finally left for London, what a performance! I was called out of my bed at 7am to catch a bluetit that the cat had brought in which was flapping around the kitchen, he didn`t have time! Must have looked a sight out in the pouring rain in nightshirt and no knickers putting a bluetit on the shed! I only hope he relaxes now, poor James!!

Sokmonsta · 12/04/2013 08:42

Ruby: apologies I am most rude and realised I haven't answered two of your questions! (Been going back over thread to see what I've missed).

We got married at 11.00. As that was the last morning slot before the price went up horrifically for the afternoon Grin it also meant I had great fun winding up people who hasn't been there as they thought us getting married was a huge April fool.

I asked my hs lady. She said normally they stay with homes for 6 months only now and wasn't sure about older children (I'm her first family). In principal, if the need was there, then there shouldn't be a problem but we're going to ask my coordinator next time I see her for you.

Sokmonsta · 12/04/2013 08:43

Morning ladies!

Am looking forward to a ball tonight. Getting my hair and nails done then prancing about in a huge red dress! Dh in dj. Kids at my parents. Can't wait!

shabbatheGreek · 12/04/2013 09:11

Morning girls xx

Sok - that sounds so wonderful....I am envious Smile Have a fantastic time.

Trips - LOL @ no knickers!! xx

bubby64 · 12/04/2013 09:49

Morning all. absolutely knackered but up again at 7 as have had friends kids over all week, getting here at 8am Confused
Boys didn't get up til 9 today, as they too are feeling the effects of late nights (they won't go to bed early in principle because its the holidays, even though they are tired!)
Trips - why can't men go out on a trip quietly?? dh can go out to work quietly, but a trip out, that's an entirely different matter!
lol as well at you with no knickersGrin Grin
Soks- did you have many people not turn up then?

bubby64 · 12/04/2013 09:50

Oh, and enjoy the ball tonight Soks, eould love an excuse to dress up to the 9sGrinEnvy

Sokmonsta · 12/04/2013 10:47

We didn't invite many people Grin only close friends and family. My dearest friend couldn't make it as her ds was barely 2 weeks old and it would have been a bit of a journey but that was it. Was a truly fantastic day and all arranged in 2 weeks :)

MamaBlue4 · 12/04/2013 18:43

Evening ladies.

bubby I've prepared myself for both scenarios. I know levels can mean anything, with my ID boys, my HCG levels looked normal and didn't start to show signs of multiples until I was about 16 weeks. Would I be disappointed if it wasn't? Yes, definitely. When you think you're having two it's hard to picture anything else but I know once I see the screen whether it's one or two. I'd be the happiest woman alive because that's my baby growing inside. Relieved? In a way, yes. 4 children under 2? Dear God haha.

Sorry to here about your leg, hoping everything improves for you & James!

Sorry if I've missed anybody else out.

DH is passed out, this sickness is really taking his toll on him, I'm worried he's getting worse and may have to be hospitalized. The twins aren't sleeping right and seem to be very fussy. I think it's from not being able to be around DH much and they miss him.

Dd has learnt her first curse word, courtesy of my father for trapping his finger and swearing in both English and Russian. "Oh fuck" is now her favourite phrase and even said it at creche when she dropped her toy... I don't condone it and I'm firm with her about it, I shouldn't find it funny but it's really hard not to laugh when she hands on her hips and says "oh fuck" with a frown.

Tomorrow I'm taking all 4 children to the jungle jim with my father so dh can sleep and rest.

Oh... DH says Hi girls.

shabbatheGreek · 13/04/2013 07:18

Morning girls xx

triplets · 13/04/2013 10:52

Morning all...........just enjoying my last few hours before they return from London..........I didnt cook a thing all day y/day :) Woke at 4am with the carbon monoxide monitor going off, rushed downstairs and didn know it was a sealed unit, couldn`t stop it ringing so had to force the back open with a kitchen knife! Try and have a rest he said!! Thomas and his mate were still up on the x-box!

MamaBlue4 · 13/04/2013 12:48

trips - I'm always on edge about that bloody thing, apparently it makes a noise when the batteries are low. Nobody told me that! I was close to panic attack and DH just rolled his eyes and replaced them.

Everyone, just a little announcement dts2 who is 7 months old, started crawling last night - like a full on crawl! They refused to settle so I set them on the bedroom floor while I routed round for a teething ring they could suck on and as I came back around the bed dts2 was crawling towards me!!!!! So bloody proud!

triplets · 13/04/2013 21:56

Wow Mama thats very early! Our monitor is one of these sealed 7 year ones, so to me its saying its picked up some carbon monoxide, we have a log burner in the room not a gas fire.........strange. Dh and ds back from London, sounds as though they had a really good time, ds loved the Albert Hall, be amazing if I end up seeing him play there one day! Where is everyone today? x

MamaBlue4 · 14/04/2013 07:36

trips Where do you get one of those from? Ours was just something dh picked up at a local shop.

I was thinking it's early, dts1 isn't even showing signs of wanting to crawl, he's perfectly content to lay with toys. Saying that I've been trying to get dts2 to crawl this morning using fruit as a bribe. He's having none of it.

Today were are hoping to go on a trail walk with the dog ds1 wants to ride his bike and dd wants to see the "forest and Mrs Frisby rats of nimh) hoping dh is well enough to come too. Then back home in time to watch F1 Grand Prix with dh. Come in Vettel. Anyway...

Oh, morning ladies!

triplets · 14/04/2013 07:46

Goodmorning Mama goodmorning everyone...........dry here but now blowing a hoolie, will never get my shed painted! I bought our detector off of Amazon, its a Fire Angel as rec by the Fire Brigade. Got a load of logs comingat 9am so better get a move on. Last day of the holidays, yippee.............the only thing I shall miss is the lie in!
