As DH and I are still mulling over whether it would be a good idea to have another baby (or who knows, babies), and ever practical, I had a look over some of the other threads about buggies. There are lots asking what to do with a toddler and baby twins which seems straightforward (buggy board) but what about if toddler twins and one baby? Any ideas, surely not a triple buggy??? Dont think I would ever leave the house?

Just trying to get some ideas!!

A year ago there was a pushchair on ebay that was a twin, but you could get an extension kit to make it a 3 or 4 seater, no wider then a double but very flexible, sorry can't remember the make, but looked fab.

Started a thread on this recently, SIL due June and twins will be 21m(!). She has got a tandem, one in front of the other! Don't know how she will get round corners. I hear Phil and Ted are developing a 3 seater along the lines of their double, maybe out this year.

oh wow tlb, I have seen some funny American websites for people with quins etc which are all in front of each other. I dont know how anyone could steer anything that is about th elength of a small car!

I've seen the Mountain Buggy triplet in action and it's actually pretty small looking. It's just the three little faces which get your attention rather than the size of it.

As for having the toddler twins and the baby - my friends who have done it just let the toddlers take turns at walking with a wrist strap, and then resting in the buggy and let the baby stay in the pram. For longer journeys the toddlers get the pram and the baby goes into a sling or later a backpack.

threelittlebabies · 20/03/2006 15:11

She has a double buggy, and so I suggested sling/wrist strap/buggy board combo, rotating the children IYSWIM- but she HAD to have a new one, she can't be stuck in the house! How does she think the rest of us go on??! She has a car, btw.

Sorry, rant over Blush

My twins turn two next mth, they are scared of the buggy board and refuse to share their buggy with Baby, So I had a sling till baby got to big (hurts your back to push two todlers and carry a 5mth) Now they walk, I have them on wrist links attached to the buggy. It takes a little longer to get places but they sleep wonderfuly!!

How about this?

Twins can take turns on surfer board? Not cheapest option but it's light and narrow!

Nightynight · 21/05/2006 22:34

check out the diaper vest, near the bottom of the pocketlint dad blog page! Its quite neat, actually.

Triple buggies aren't actually as bad as you think! I loved mine, which was an old inline Bebeconfort, although they don't sell them anymore. If you go to Peg Perego's site, they do a fantastic triplette, with good suspension and comfy seats, and it's actually quite easy to push. A fellow triplet mum had one, and I was always jealous of her's. :)
