Hi all, we're moving from London to Melbourne in July 2012. We're first-time parents, and we have 6-month old twins.

Do you know if there is an "NCT" equivalent way to meet other new mums?

Is there a "TAMBA" equivalent?

Hi I'm in Melbourne with 4 year old twins. I have seen posters up for twin clubs but haven't joined myself.....there's a freebie magazine you can find in various establishments called 'Melbourne Child' which they may advertise in. It's v useful anyways! BTW bring lots of money with you - you know the cost of living is 40% higher ther eright? I knew it would be expensive but found it really quite shocking and upsetting just how expensive it is when we arrived the beginning of this year. Our quality of life has dropped significantly because of this. Just saying because I would rather have been forewarned and would have preferred to know this in making the decision to make the move......

Sorry, just saw you're moving in July - probably a bit late for such advice! Best of luck anyway. My best tip I can give you is to get on Facebook and ask to join the "UK Playgroup" group on there - it will be an absolute lifeline for you because it is very tough when you arrive. Hope it all works out for you
