I'm 30wks and have the most humongous bump that I or anyone else has ever seen. I'm so fed up of replying 'not for a little while but there are two in there!'.

I'm exhausted and still have a few weeks left at work so I'm feeling quite sorry for myself today and just wanted a little whinge so thanks for listening. :)

You're wonderful, don't worry about it. After they are born you will face boundless rubbish from strangers.

The first time some said 'not long now' was before my 12 week scan and we didn't even know it was twins then.

I'm just being a grumpy mare I suppose. To be fair it is a big bump do I do look like I'm about to give birth any second!

Try "any second now" and watch them run. . I tried this on the comet delivery man who turned up with half our white goods in new house 3 days late, and 2 hours later than scheduled slot. Unfortunately it turned out to be prophetic as I had them the next day at 33+4

NoMoreWine :( Sorry you are feeling so out of sorts. Can I add another perspective? Perhaphs people aren't asking because you look fecking enormous a little larger than usual, but because they are genuinely interested. Whether the bump is tiny or huge - people ask when you are due :)

As others have said - this is but the trial run, once you have had the babies it never stops!! Just get some stock answers ready and remember that 99.99% of people are just trying to be friendly and are genuinely interested in other people - they aren't trying to be annoying!
