I need a new buggy!

Right, so one of the front wheels of my buggy is wobbly (very annoying) and I'm sick of having to have the wheels locked because of this. So, need to get a new pushchair. I really like the look of the Out 'n' About 360 nipper, and see there is a newer version out. Does anyone have this? Is it worth me spending the money (about £350) on one? Are they good for when my twins get older? My twins are 10 months, so I would get my money's worth, right? Grin

Forgot to add, if anyone can suggest any other pushchairs would be very interested - I am concerned about getting one that will have enough space as they get older (or as much as you can expect from a twin pushchair!)

I have the Baby Jogger City Mini and love it. The Out n About Nipper looks good too :)

I have an out and about and love it. Mine is the old model as the twins were born 2 months before the new one came out but tbh dh and I aren't super tall so the adjustable handle wasn't an issue. I think the new seats sit up more but as mine won't know any different I think they'll be fine. I know someone who bought one on Ebay last week for £160.

I honestly can't fault it other than a couple of punctures but now have the wheel liners from halfords rather than slime and that works much better (so far).

Thanks folks. I will look on ebay! I don't suppose anyone has taken the 360 nipper on a bus?

We have the city jogger mini - it's a good buggy only downside is shopping basket which is crap, it fits on most busses. The nipper is slightly wider I think and it depends on the bus sizes near you as they do differ. Everyone I know who have the nipper love it, and as Princess Scrumpy mentioned they go for cheap on e-bay, gumtree, preloved etc.

My friend has a 360 and we took it on the bus. Its ok if you don't have to fold it. Her girls were 2 when we did it. We said after if she was doing this alot she would have got a different one like the citymini. It is well built and has lasted well. Really good to push even as they get bigger. When hers were small I put my then 5 year old in on side as one of hers need a cuddle was very easy to push and didn't notice the difference in weight of child

We have an out n about given by friends with twins. They used it till twins were 4 from birth. We've been using it for about 4-5 months and it wheels really well.

bigjoeent · 13/04/2012 08:40

I've got the mini jogger and love it, folds up really easily, although its not that small when you do. Mine are 21 months and still using it. Great buggy

We used Nipper 360 from about 18 months. I loved it. V easy to push. DS1 used to jump in sometimes for a ride up to the age of 5, when twins were 3, and he also used to sit on the front footrest and I could push all 3 of them without a problem. I remember also pushing my nephew and neighbour who got in for a joke once, and they were aged 7 and 5 at the time and it still was pushable.

The new one looks good as the seats are more upright (old ones are a bit bucket-like), but I got mine second hand in perfect condition for about £150 and never had a problem with the old style seats.

5madthings · 14/04/2012 16:36

another nipper fan here, i just have the single but i love it and my ds4 does as eggs ds used to do and sit on the footrest for a ride and its still a breeze to push!

i have friends with twins or siblings close in age who have the double and they are very happy with it.

and the seats are adjustable at the back, mine is old style, but its a strap that you can loosen or unclip to lie the seat flat but if you pull it really tight the seat is pretty upright and fine, my ds4 and dd have never complained and seem happy enough :)

Egg · 14/04/2012 20:47

I had the single too 5madthings, I moved onto the single (also secondhand from a lovely mner) when twins were two and a bit as DD (girl twin) liked to walk a lot and DS2 (boy twin) was a bit more lazy, but it meant DD could sit on the front when we needed to go a bit faster or she got tired. Nippers are great.

PeelingmyselfofftheCeiling · 16/04/2012 15:01

Another nipper fan here, BUT there is a problem with the brakes on models made since 2011 autumn (google for more). Mine went back for a new rear axel after 4 months use, as they are aware of the problem. That should mean newer models bought today have the improved system, but def worth checking.

5madthings · 16/04/2012 16:50

my nipper is the older model i think? so no brake issues at all, you can get them so easily on ebay i guess just ask for the serial number so you can then check the brake issue, or get an old model, as they really do last, mine is used and abused and still going strong!

BagofHolly · 16/04/2012 19:42

Babyjogger city mini - it folds FLAT! the newer one has better access to the basket, and my enormous 3 year old fits comfortably in it, let alone my little twins.

NenNen · 16/04/2012 20:00

Another City Jogger fan over here! I found most of the other side by side doubles too wide. Smile
