Going back into nappies?

We've been toilet training our 2 yr old DD for the last month, and she has been dry since about the second day, and tells us when she needs a wee :). Poos are a different matter! Virtually everyday she's having an accident in her knickers, she often asks to go for a poo (although she often means wee), sits on the potty or toilet for a few minutes the will do the poo in her knickers about 10 minutes later. She is obviously still very confused about the feelings she is getting! Confused I'm not sure whether to put her back into pull up nappies for a few weeks, then have another go. She did have to wear a nappy at nursery the other day (got through 4 pairs of knickers!) and she still asked to use the toilet, so I don't think she would have a complete regression if she returned to nappies/pull ups. Has anyone got experience of going back into nappies - and does it cause a huge set back, or should we persevere with the knickers (and piles of washing!!). I'm really not looking forward to potty training our DD twins when its their turn!! Thanks for any advice. :)

Not much help - looked because it was under multiple births and actually it isn't really a mb question is it? All I can say is that my dds sailed (mostly) through potty training, so don't panic about that! I went for it during the summer when they were 2 and a half, on the principle it would be easier to let them wander round knickerless in warm weather and drying the laundry after accidents would be less expensive.

Might be worth reposting in a more suitable area of the site?

My twin 2 went back into nappies for a bit. His sister quite happy went into pants, he didn't. Then about 6weeks later he said he wanted pants and that was that.

i got loads of advice about potty training my twins here. Just go at their spead.

DD1 got wees straight away too but poos were more of a challenge. She wouldn't sit long enough on the potty to poo and would soil her knickers a few minutes later. We had reward charts, chocolate bribes etc but what worked for us was getting special books just for the potty. She chose them. A Disney princess one with a "magic" drawing thing was the most successful. She could only have the books when she sat on the toilet/potty. It meant she would sit for long enough to poo then get all the praise for being a clever big girl etc. Once she'd done it a couple of times we had no more accidents. Might be worth a go before you revert to nappies? She was also 2 when I potty trained her (DTs were 4 months at the time - what was I thinking?)
