...When juggling kids, family, home, school and work?
I know, I know, feeble effort, but I really don't know where my year has gone! Its towards the end of February now, past half term for most of us, and I don't even seem to have blinked!
We were celebrating DH's birthday today, and I'm sure he had his last one only a couple of months ago, or thats how it seems to me.
As for the years since my 2 were born, well, they seem to have gone in a blink of an eye.

Sun is shining here, after the gales/thunderstorms hail showers etc all flipping weekend.
Shabbs - love Lews "sleepover" story! little darling lol. Glad Estars family are together at least.
Trips - glad you had a good night out.
Ruby - did the revision include music and videos on in the background? It does here, as they "can't concentrate when it's quiet!" Confused

Morning girls

I seem to be sooo busy atm, mostly teaching the kids! Wonder what the schools are doing with them all day

Only really popped on to share an update from Esther here Glad to see that Daniel has been awake some of the time :)

Chopstheduck · 01/05/2012 20:09

Hm where is everyone hiding?

I have a happy moment to share. Sounds trivial, but I bought a proper red Lippy today! After years of not being able to wear lipstick and certainly never red, and not smiling properly cos of my grotty teeth I got myself a lippy, applied some makeup and actually felt pretty! Smile

triplets · 01/05/2012 21:39

Hi girls........and Miss Scarlet (Chopster)
Reading Esthers blog, you have to feel the strong belief in her faith, she is an amazing woman xx
I have been at my mums all day, quite upsetting. She has been poorly for weeks now, what started off as an infected toe is now a huge concern. She may have gangrene in her toe, her other toes and leg are full of cellulitis, she is heavily bandaged making it very difficult for her to get up/walk.She is 84, has always looked so young for her age, but these last few weeks she has really aged. I feel sad about her......it would also have been my Dads b/day today..............so miss him.
DK is off to Kings tomorrow to have the lung tumour removed, surgery Thurs.
I am feeling ..................blitzed by it all

Morning girls xx

Trips - so sorry to hear about your Mum xx

ChopstheScarletduck · 02/05/2012 06:58

Morning girls

Will be thinking of you today and tomorrow trips, hope it all goes well, and your mum gets better soon too, that sounds nasty.

I'm off to CAHMS today, ds1 is finally being seen to hopefully start some sort of diagnostic procedure for his asd type issues. Not much looking forward to it, all we really want is the tests, but they seem to be quite invasive! He was supposed to be referred direct to a psychologist years ago but it appears the appointment went missing and now it has to be done via CAHMS.

Just a quickie, dk got to the hospital at 7pm tonight, phoned me at 930pm to say it was chaos. Reported to the cadiothorassic ward as told, they ignored him for over 30mins, then took his name and said they didn`t have a bed for him, despite phoning him at 2pm and telling him to come in by 8pm! They sent him to a waiting area, then a nurse came and said they had found him a bed, he would go into his proper ward after his op tomorrow. So he is in a 4 bed ward with three male stoke victims! Said he would phone me back tonight once he was told what time his op would be tomorrow.................I have had no call. Here we go again! Off to the hospital podiatery dept with Mum tomorrow......................aint life grand??

shabbapinkfrog · 03/05/2012 05:55

Morning girls xx

Thinking about you today Trips - hope 'stuff' goes well for you and yours. NHS drives me crazy....nothing is simple or straightforward is it? We used to be able to go to our local hospital (10 minutes walk away) for everything....now my DK's diabetic appointments - eye test, foot care etc etc has been transferred to a medical centre which is about 20 minutes drive away - OR 3 buses and a 15 minute walk!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooggs · 03/05/2012 07:19

How much rubes? Wonder how much it would cost to post!

Hi. Chops- glad you feel good about your teeth- feeling good about yourself always makes a huge difference to your wellbeing. Al good news about sons assessment.
Trips- hope all goes OK with DH surgery, seems to me that bed bureau and the ward are not communicating properly, Sadabout your mum.

Ruby - glad your friend had got through first part ok, and continues to improve.
My 2 were told last week they had to wear glasses- inherited my poor eyesightSad, they got them yesterday, and they both look good, but they are really worried about wearing them at school. I paid the extra to get "designer" frames, so they could feel more confident, so we shall see how it goes, also poor DH has tonsillitis and an ear infection, but his boss said he needs to go to work or they will dock his pay and his bonus! He hasnt been off sick in 18months, and the last time was 3 days for an operation, so I am fuming that they have said this- he really is not well!Angry

I am in my bed eating nuts, fed up Angry
Dk is home, discharged himself at 2pm.
Took him down to theatre at 8am, went through a checklist and realised he takes low dose aspirin, should have been told to stop taking it 10 days prior to surgery, so they abandoned it. Also decided they needed a more up to date scan so did a ct, the tumour has increased in size! They are reviewing him and said he will come back as an emergency ................in 3 weeks time.
Anyone got any diazapan and Tio Pepe to wash it down?
