Twins running Operation Meltdown since 1530 hours this afternoon. Anyone like to join me in a sweepstake as to when they'll settle?

That's it really.

11 week old twins (10wks prem so about 1 wk corrected) have been crying, alternatley or simultaneousy, since 1530.

They have been changed, they are not too hit or too cold, they have been offered both boobs and bottles (mixed feeding), they have been swaddled (NOT a success), they have been held.

I have started drinking wine.

Anyone?

Oh dear! I remember that bit it was only about 3months ago it seems like 100 years ago!

If you have started on the wine can i put my money on after the next bf! Grin

Congratulations on the twins, what kind are they?! Mine are both boys, 23 weeks. Good luck :)

I had a premmie and about 1wk corrected was when the little bugger he woke up and realised he was born, and wailed the place down.

It does pass. A swaddling trick I learnt was not to swaddle the arms, just the body and legs. Rocking on the shoulder and MNing worked as well.

Mine is now nearly 2 and has spent the whole day as a big ball of tantruming, irrational misery as he has a cold and hasn't been sleeping properly.

I will join you in much deserved Wine. Though as you have probably just been through SCBU etc yours is far more deserved.

My bet is about midnight unfortunately. Sad All of my children (DD and then DTs) have screamed all evening until they are about 6 weeks old (age corrected) But it DOES get better. Honestly. I used to make DH take them out for an hour in the pram from 8-9 each night (he wandered the streets with his ipod) to give me a chance to recharge before the bedtime routine.

Hope they have calmed down for you now. I find a nightlight lullaby music projector thing to be a godsend at that age.
