Hey ladies bit of a long thread an I'm on my phone so appologise in advance for spelling mistakes.

I am 30 weeks today with identical twins :) I already have 3 children youngest being 10 months

Thursday morning I had what I think is a small leak, I have already had a a few shows. So I went to the hospital where they checked by speculum but it showed no "pooling" of water and cervix was shut. After listening to babies I was sent home and told to wear a pad and bring in next morning!!

So Friday morning off I went up to day assessment where the midwife agreed pad was very damp and basically a good indication that I was indeed tricking water.
Another speculum, no water pooling found again, had a scan fluid seamed normal. I was told to wear a pad whilst walking about and again midwife and doctor agreed it was very wet!

Consultant comes in does ANOTHER speculum again no waters pooling to be found but again more damp pads!

They agreed from how damp my pads were that my back waters were trickling! And that I was now to stay in and be observed till babies were born!

Unfortunately there was Bo room at the hospital intensive care for babies if they were to be born so I was sent 1 hour and half to another hospital that had room.

Got there late about 11.30pm and when I woke up about 8am the doctors said I could go home my waters hadn't gone ( they hadn't checked anything)
So I it shipped home with antibiotics.

This morning I wake up not feeling very well and again very damp so I call for advice, told to come up again so I went. Again another speculum no water pooling BUT I have a infection showing in my blood?!
They have just sent me home and said if anymore trickling etc come back but I was when I was there. I'm sooooo worried this is what happens with my last baby the exact same thing, they didn't believe me water were leaking and left me I got infection (again exact same thing) and my baby was very poorly ad had to stay in intensive care.

I'm so worried I have kicked up such a fuss and near enough refused to go home but still no one believes me.

Any advice

It sounds like you're doing eveything you can but i think you need to take someone else with to calmly outline the situation very politely take the name of the people sending you home and inform them that should the outcome cause damage to you or the babies you will be following this up through all appropriate channels. Only other suggestion would be if you have a consultant hold out to see them when you next go in and get them to intercede on your behalf. Good luck and I hope everything turns out well.

Can you ask them to do the new test thing which should show if your likely to have them in the next 2 weeks? I had it at 29 weeks and luckily it as negative I was just having contractions from then until I had them at 36 weeks

Hello - Hope you're ok. I don't know anything about the medical side of what you are describing but is it possible to see the Monitoring Unit of your Maternity department? I was referred by the Radiography dept and then by the clinic. I had twice weekly heartrate checks on the twins. If the clinic won't refer you, your GP might?

I would try my gp but definitely don't just take their word for it. I was told my waters hadn't gone with dd1 and I wasn't in labour - 25mins later she was in my arms! Can you contact your consultant or get your gp to send you for an extra scan? Then you'll know for certain.

It's probably fine, but if you don't stand up to them and get heard and something went wrong you wouldn't forgive yourself for not doing more.

Good luck xx
