How big did you measure?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and measuring more like 14,I've not had a scan yet but hopefully will soon. My dates are right so its not that but it is my 4th baby so could it perhaps be related? Had very little ms but been fairly knackered. Only have one set of twins on mothers side (her aunts) so not a lot in family. Basically I'm asking how likely it is that the size is due to a twin pregnancy? Any ideas what else it could be as I'm now dying to know!

Congratulations!

Subsequent pgs do show earlier as I guess you know if this is your 4th. Baby is so weeny at 9 weeks that I struggle to accept it can be anything other than water retention or change in eating habits tho. Saying that, I do know a lady who was obv pg at 12wks -and I'm not the most observant. I didn't tell many people about my twin pg until 19weeks and I was only just really starting to show then. I'm 10wks pg at the mo and def nowhere near looking pg tho my ms has been far worse this time than with my twin pg.

Its not that my bumps big though it is bigger then previous pregnancies. Its that the top of the fundus is high which I don't think eating or water retention affects. Just wondered if this was a sign of more then one or not.

at 10week I 'popped' and it was clear I was pregnant. I was hoping to hide it for a few more weeks. I put it down to second child. At scan found out it was twins and by then I was clearly pregnant. by 5 months people were saying 'not long now' and by 37 weeks I was the size of a horse. Children could run underneath my bump and dissapear.

My fundus is a lot higher at an early stage in this pg (2nd pg but twins this time). I work with a lady who is 5 weeks ahead of me - my bump is bigger than hers. I've been "showing" since 9 weeks. I thought it was in my head until people at work started commenting. After the initial growth it seems to be settling a little - still bigger than single pg.

Oddly, People find out it's twins and say I'm not shoing much for twins - that's before I tell them I'm only 17 weeks, and then they say "oooooh!". I look about 25weeks! I'm 5' 4" and a size 12 (was!) and bump is out front. I'm thinking I'll need a crutch to lean my bump on by 37 weeks! Grin

Cant wait to find out if its because there's two in there! Good luck with your pregnancies :)
