Abdominal Measurements and TTTS

I'm expecting identical twin boys in April. Have been having scans every 2 weeks and yesterday had my 18 week growth scan.

Both twins are fairly equal when it comes to their measurements except for their AC where there is a difference of about 15mm. The women said it was nothing to worry about just yet but needs paying a close eye on. The thing is the last scan they only had an AC difference of 4mm and i'm worrying this gap is widening and could be an early sign of TTTS?

Anyone have any experience of this? Am I just being paranoid?

I can't advise on TTTS, just wanted to say that my DTs had different abdo measurements. In fact they would take turns at who had the bigger measurement, I'm not sure if it had anything to do with how much amniotic fluid they'd ingested?

Anyway they often had more than 10mm difference in their measurements, and they are just fine.

Try not to worry about it. They are aware of it and will be keeping an eye on it. If it is or isn't a sign of TTTS you can't do anything to make a difference so no point in worrying about it.

Might be worth booking an appointment with the consultant (hopefully an id twin specialist) to talk through what would happen if TTTS did happen - then at least you are aware of the likely scenarios.

Try and keep in mind that more id twins don't get TTTS than do - mine included. It is a scary place to be - but try and keep as calm and objective as you can.

I will be scanned by a consultant next week at Queen Charlotte's - who are twin specialists, so fingers crossed all is fine.
