I put this in 'short haul' but i guess here might get a better response!

We are considering a holiday in almeria in october. Easyjet fly to alicante, but would we be being a bit mad?

I know easyjet lets you on early with kids but would we have enough hands for 2 7 month olds and a 3 year old (almost 4)?

Anyone done it? Any tips? I was thinking 2 slings and a rucksack as hand luggage might do the trick, but then we would have the buggy too... maybe it would all be a bit much.

Any thoughts?

I've never done it with kids - but gone that route - and it'll be full of brits on hols - so they'll be helpful and nice.

I'd say do it - you can give the buggy at the last minute, and with slings, it'll make it easier (in my head it would)

And bribe the older child!

We took our then 11 month old twins on Easyjet to Alicante (from Gatwick) in June. Flight itself was fine but whole check-in, getting through security etc was quite stressful as massive queues. We did online check-in but the queue to put bags in was longer than the normal check-in queue so that was a waste of time!! We didn't take buggy, only slings and that was a big mistake, we definitely missed the buggy in the airport. Easyjet does let you on early so that was ok but we had an issue of not having enough oxygen masks on our row so we had to move to a row with four masks (bit of a nightmare after we'd all got settled down) - you might have a similar issue with 5 of you so you might have to sit in two rows?

Flight was full of grandparents and also young families so everyone was very understanding and helpful. Easyjet cabin crew also extremely helpful. We are thinking of doing it again next month so it couldn't have been that bad!

Hope you have a lovely holiday!

We went to Italy this year with our 18 month old twins and our 3 and a half year old. We flew BA. One of the twins screamed the whole flight out, but thankfully they both slept the way back. Our 3 year old was fine, if a little over tired and excitable. We flew at very unsocial times (much much cheaper) and in retrospect that was pretty hellish. We went last year when they were 6 months and it was easier by far, even though we flew Ryan Air and they were pretty horrid. This year we took 2 knackered single maclarens as they throw the buggies around on flights and we didn't want to get ours damaged. Even though it was pretty hellish, I've forgotten the bad bits and we did have a lovely holiday. Good luck and have a great holiday!
