Hi

my rising 3 has one Afro-Caribbean grandparent. He's fair to olive skinned with thick, fine dark brown hair with a loose curl.

Normally gets shampoo and conditioner once to twice a week. However we have just noticed that he has a sore spot on his scalp where he's been scratching it.

Can you advise? Would it be useful to take him to an Afro-Caribbean hairdresser?

Have you been using a different type of shampoo and conditioner than normal? Some of the afro ones can be very harsh and full of chemicals, even those made for children. My DD itched like mad after using the 'Baby love' range for afro hair.
