Hey so sorry you had no response to this. I have had this problem and it was so difficult,

husbands dad is racist.

it took years of me talking to him about what racism looked like and it’s impact in my mental health.

im not sure if he will ever fully understand but when I say I wonder if they would have said that to a white man he now often says probably not.

im not sure they can every fully understand. But for me the minimum is being able to express how I feel and him listening.
