Books for black boys

I have been looking for fictional books featuring black main characters for my 10 year old - and it is doing my head in! I can't find anything other than biographies, which he already has plenty of.
Can anyone give me any suggestions? It seems so much easier to find books for them when they are younger and for girls - but I am at a loss here. I'll take suggestions re: graphic novels as well as books if anyone can help.

Thanks.

or here

I try to have as many multicultural books as possible for dd (4) but have heard from friends that it gets harder as they get older - lots of picture books around for littlies though.

Thanks guys .

These are very helpful. I have a younger ds too - almost 3 - and there are loads there for him as well. But it seems that most books are aimed towards young girls

Malorie Blackman writes books with black main characters. Pig Heart Boy, for one, has a black boy as the main character. The comic Spawn has a black man as the superhero, though I've never read it so I don't know how suitable it is for a 10 year old.

My son is 10 so I'm racking my brain trying to think of the books he has that might interest you. I'll have to take a look later & let you know.

Benjamin Zephaniah has written some excellent books but the ones I know of (Face and Refugee Boy) are aimed at older kids. I don't know if he's written any for younger kids.
Have a look at Barrington Stoke - they are a very good publisher of kids books.
