Hi.

I am a nursery nurse working at a local day nursery Anyway the other day we had an inclusion meeting discussing the different ways/methods we could use/adopt at the setting to make it inclusive for all.

Anyway my quick question is - what would you like to see within a preschool/nursery/school which would make you/your child feel more at home, or valued.

When I looked around all we seemed to have was the poster of hello which I'm sure we've all seen and off course we have several books and lots of posters with children from different nationalities etc.

I am only asking as a way of making our nursery a more welcoming environment - so any ideas gratefully receieved.

i take it you celebrate all the different holidays and eat different foods from different countries. Not quite the same but do you include stories of children with different physical needs.
