isn't it more like Middle Eastern / Lebanese / Persian food - grilled meat, tabbouleh, pilau-like rice dishes?

I have a nice cookbook, Afghan Food & Cookery by Helen Saberi. I don't know if it's available in the UK or not, but I've used it a couple of times. I especially like the emerald rice, even though it involves three or four pots at once, at one point in the process. Everything winds up together and it's a good 1-dish meal. There are a few indexing problems with the cookbook, but nothing you can't figure out eventually. Good luck!
