Hey call me Toks, Toksy or Tokunbo

I'm due on 22nd Feb 07 and apparently will be having a girl buts it not 100% certain.

What's your DD's name, does she have a english or Nigerian name?

Plutino · 30/10/2006 12:20

Hi Toks, Call me Jay. But you were wondering if I had emigrated ! Was quite busy as I had guests come over to see me and the baby. Was really nice. DD has 2 Nigerian names Adamma and Terver. Are you still shopping for your baby ? Little girl clothes are sooooo cute.

yeah did wonder where you were

Haven't activitely started shopping yet mainly because its not 100% a girl so mainly bought neutral colours and white. secondly ppl tend to give you LOTS of clothes and stuff so just brought a couple of sleepsuits and babygro's.

I totally agree about girls clothing been so much cuter though i do love my nephews when they're all jeaned up and cute shirts.

Plutino · 06/11/2006 17:38

Hi Toks, yep you are absolutey right. People do give you lots of things and babies grow so quickly. My DD is 4 months old and is already wearing 6 - 9 months baby gros because she is so loooooooooong. Saw the health visitor today and she is 66 cm looks like I've got a basket ball player on my hands.
Have you decided on names yet ?

Wow she is tall, maybe her and my nephew can get married, he's quite tall also!

We'e thinking of Alima Morayo, sure hope it is a girl as i've been calling her Alima since i had my last scan.

Going to get into serious baby shopping mode now as i really want to get as much as i can out of the way.

Plutino · 17/12/2006 17:45

Hey Toks, incredible how time flies by so quickly. Cant' believe it's over 1 month since I last posted. How are you and baby doing? Almost there. Are you ready !!!!!!!
LOL that's the million dollar question. Alima Morayo are beautiful names. Is Alima another version of Halima ? DD is 5 1/2 months now and is quite a handful. Weaning her on Christmas day - Good luck to me. Take Care

Hi! Not in Bristol but Nigerian mum in Kenilworth near Coventry. Mum to 7 yr old and 2 yr old twin girls. Glad to see you guys on mumsnet, will keep checking your thread!

N1SEXYTING · 19/01/2007 19:03

Hey Jay

I'm good and Alima's fine, she's heads down now so hopefully she should be making her appearance anytime soon.

Hows Adamma doing? she still getting big and tall.

Hi Aku

Plutino · 27/01/2007 21:21

Hello Aku, Never been to Coventry what's it like? Twins wow! Are they identical ?

OP posts:
Plutino · 27/01/2007 21:23

Hey Toks
But you are in countdown mode now. Adamma is great. She has 2 front teeth now, has started solids and loves her food

OP posts:
N1SEXYTING · 30/01/2007 00:05

Yes, countdown is exactly what it is!

Wow, Adamma sounds just like my nephew, he's on solids also (even eating Amala!) with his 2 little tooths! Bet she's a cutie also

Plutino · 11/02/2007 22:07

Hey Toks, what's the news ?

OP posts:
aku · 16/02/2007 16:40

Hi, All eyes for your news! We are in Kenilworth near Coventry which is nice. We used to live in London and still come down loads as all the family are over there. My twins - Lily Ugochi and Matilda Udoaku are not identical, they look very much like their sister Lolade Isla though! Good luck with the solids! Amala is so easy for babies to swallow especially with okra!
