Dolls for Boys

I'd love to get a doll for 2.4 year old ds. He loves playing with my brother's old rag doll at my parents' house and I've noticed he does more 'role play' with it than with his soft toy animals etc.
I'd prefer a soft raggy doll to a plastic one but all suggestions gratefully received. DS is mixed race (half Irish, half Sri Lankan) and tho' I'm not too fussed about the doll's 'skin' colour, I know mumsnetters like a challenge!

Ds1 has my old cabbage patch kid, which he loves. It is more of a 'child' looking doll than a 'baby', which (don't linch me) boys seem less interested in than girls.

DS quite metrosexual (asked me if he could wear a skirt when he's 5 like his friend Katherine...) and plays with 'baby' dolls at nursery but agree that he'd probably prefer a 'child' doll. I could give him my old rag doll but the seam between her head and neck has come apart (I don't think my mum used enough material!)

I got a Baby Stella for DD (2) which DS (5) quite likes playing with. And Baby Stella comes in 2 skin tones!

Do a google for Baby Stella.

Early Learning Centre do little dolls in a blue outfit and whilst head/hands/feet are solid, the body is soft stuffed fabric. The one I bought DS1 was £6 I think.

Thanks everyone. Wow southeastastra, that blue one is seriously odd. The beige (!) Baby stella might be the one - and the same company seems to do older dolls as well.
