I have a friend who is english and her husband is indian and they called their daughter Nisha - I think it's lovely. Let us know what you decide!

KateF · 28/06/2006 13:43

I have a Samina in my class, think her sister is Tanya, but they are Muslim rather than Hindu. Pretty names though.

suejonez · 28/06/2006 13:48

I have a Sri Lankan friend call Anjala and an indian one called Sarita (I think someone may have already suggested that)

Ellbell · 28/06/2006 13:49

Friends' dd is called Amara, which is pretty (though means 'bitter' in Italian, but OK as long as no Italians in the family). Could be 'too muslim' though.
