Name Wanted for DD Indian & English Sounding Please

Hi we just cnat agree on a name for our dd as we want something that will fit into both cultures pluse has to sound sort of Hindish to please in laws and need some ideas what do people suggest? so for example Aaron can be quite english but also Arun for the indian side , please help, thansks

Gina is rather old fashioned, by Hindu and English terms, not too sure.

Just wondering, why don't you want a Hindu name?

i dont want the name to be an either/ or i want something to work in both cultures and please BOTH sides of the family otherwise it alll gets a bit one sided. and i wnat my kids to proud of both cultures as toghether they have lots to gain.

DS2 was going to be Aisha. lovely name.

I like Parvati and Laksmi too, but you could also go the Hollywood route (Uma Thurmans sibling I think?) and go for Dharma (good for a boy or girl, I love it)

Dharma means 'what is right', or simply virtue which i think is lovely (it's what is right ina societal or religious way)

Try here indiaparenting they have a section called names easily pronunced by foreigners. The way we did it was english surname so indian first names. i love rani (queen)
