Advice re half pay when sick

Would appreciate some advice.Without going into loads of boring detail.If I end up on half pay for sick leave can I apply for money from elsewhere?There is no way we can live on half pay and it is unlikely I will return to work before this kicks in.

You're probably only entitled to Statutory Sick Pay, which is about £79 a week - so your employer may be paying you more than that already.

Not sure about any other benefits - you might be entitled to housing benefit though?
