Claiming back PPI - anyone done this?

I've just been cold-called by a claims company saying they can claim back my PPI from my credit card, I have a good case etc. etc. Has anyone dones this and is it worth doing?

I think I annoyed the claims adviser by talking through the whole process for 25minutes then refusing to pay the up front fee before researching his company and the likelihood my claim would go ahead. I don't want to pay £100 to start the process than find out I get nothing!

Thanks

Try the website above and unless you have money to throw away don't pay any claims management company a penny. You can do it yourself for free.

Totally agree with catherinewho. I used templates from the moneysavingexpert website to claim back PPI DH had paid on a loan and we got the whole lot back. Definitely don't pay any third party to claim on your behalf.

Thanks - that's what I figured. He was trying to make it sound like filling in a few forms would be very difficult for me - I'm an English teacher, I think I can cope!

Never pay any money up front for this sort of thing. There are too many rogue companies out there touting for business who have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Apart, that is, from taking your hard earned money.
