DMP and mortgage???

We are on a dmp but want to move home. We currently have a mortgage and have seen a house roughly the same price range as ours. I'm just not sure whether the mortgage providers will move our mortgage or tell us to p**s off? Anyone got any experience of getting a mortgage whist on a dmp?

Usually your current mortgage provider will treat you the same as any other client, DMP or not. It all depends on whether you have been in arrears with your mortgage in the last 12 months.

If no arrears and you always pay on time they usually dont even perform a credit check however there are occasions when they do but again being on a DMP does not even show on a credit check.

What does show is the fact you are on a payment arrangement with each individual creditor. If you have missed any of these arrangements or have paid late, this will affect the mortgage companies decision.
