1 GBP = 1.17 euro
1 euro = 86p

So that means it is in our favour then ??

Thank you !

the £ is actually pretty weak compared to 2007/2008, but is better than it was in the crash of spring 2009

Can anyone predict when would be the best time to buy euros for summer holidays this year? is the trend getting more favourable or less, or is is impossible to tell?

Childminder- not really, compared with history, but if you just mean, is £1 worth more than E1, then the answer is yes.

Tellnoone- Hard to say. The Euro is getting a beating because of the Greece/Spain/Portugal issues but Sterling has issues as well- especially whether the BofE will raise interest rates (which should strengthen sterling) or let inflation run riot (which would weaken it).
