If you had an allergic reation to a dye at a salon would you ask for a refund?

Can I get a few answers please, My GP told me to ring them to ask what likely caused it.

My face is swoolen and has a rash all over it, my face is really red and I'm going on holiday monday but am not allowed to wear make-up now till the rash fades.

Am on antihistamines.

Hey Disenchanted - didnt get to come back on yesterday my eldest had a fall at school so we spent the afternoon and evening in A&E but one glued head and a few bowls of ice cream later and shes fine!!!

The salon should have offered you the patch test - without having done that they are not covered by insurance if you have a reaction - Im rather horrified that they didnt especially as your hair had been so heavily processed during the previous 48hrs!!

I would go back and demand a refund - you are perfectly within your rights to as they didnt take the proper precautions - even with colour correction where i work i ALWAYS insist that clients have the patch test - if they refuse (due to not wanting to spend 48hrs feeling so glum) i do proceed but i make it known that if they do have a reaction we will not be liable due to refusal.
Some salons will refuse point blank without a patch test, but they really should have given you that option. I hope you get it sorted out xxx
