Tax Credits Renewal - Additional Payments?

Hello, I'm new to this whole Netmums thing so I'm not sureif soeone will be able to help me or not. But I have a few questions regarding tax credits renewals.

I phoned up and did my renewal last week (wed) I had actually earned almost £3k less than I had estimated. If I earned less than my estimate would I have been overpaid or underpaid?

Also at the beginning of April my weekly working tax credit payments were more than halved and I have no idea why?? I used to use this for my weekly shop so I am now very short of money and shopping, and I am finding it hard to manage. Does anyone know why this would have happened??

Or if it will go back up? Also will I have any extra payments because of my renewal.

Feeling very fed up and feel very let down at the minute.

at netmums
If you've earned less than you thought you would, your payments should go up iirc

Netmums ? surely you mean mumsnet? Netmums is blaspheme around these parts

Tax credits do change/lower towards the end of the tax year, but not usually by half. Have you rang them? There was a poster on here the other day who work for the tax credits people, they'd probably be able to help if they are around.
