Anyone work at Tax Credits HQ?

I usually get paid my tax credits on a friday.

I just checked my bank and because im with Natwest who open on saturdays they process mondays incomings yesterday. It is saying i am being paid money from tax credits on monday.

i got paid on friday as usual so don't know why i have had this extra miney paid in.

tax credits are so prone to cock ups i'm scared to use it but if its some unexpected windfall it will come in very handy at the mo.

anyone got any idea's as to what its about? I did send off my renewal forms recently, could it be linked to that?

If they made a mistake in their interim calculations then they might owe you money, which could be what this is. Last months payment would have been the first of the new year, when they basically guess what your income will be, so yes, it could be because of your renewal.
if it is you will get a letter about it so I would hang onto it for a few days until the letter comes, and then go shopping

I could really do with it but im too scared to actually spend it until i know for sure.
